The following items have been important for us in our planning and have therefore led to the present schedule:

  • clear and well-arranged structure
  • joint and sufficient breaks
  • sufficient time for individual being together

  • two-day encounter group, facilitated by an international staff
  • daily lecture on the Conference theme – also for non-specialized audience
  • spending time together on Saturday night
  • possibility for optional sightseeing on Sunday morning (4 guided city walks and a city tour by bus)
  • merging Pre-Conference and Conference on Sunday afternoon with the ceremonial address and the opening keynote

  • four keynote lectures and six semi plenaries (only two lectures at the same time)
  • possibility of a continuous and moderated reflection group on the main lectures (keynotes, semi plenaries)
  • continuation of the encounter group of the Pre-Conference with 1.5 hours daily
  • sufficient opportunity for parallel sessions
  • one late night session on Monday evening
  • a moderated discussion on the Conference with all participants on the last day
  • adequate time for the WAPCEPC General Assembly
  • daily lunch break without any stress
  • temporal and spatial opportunities for individual encounters: Welcome Get-Together on Sunday evening and gala dinner at the Vienna city hall on Tuesday evening (both events included in the Conference fee!)
  • optional trip to a Viennese „Heurigen“ (typical wine tavern) to round off the Conference
